Census Results Released Early
The recent Census has revealed some startling facts about the lifestyle and work habits of many Australians*. The data, collected during the Census last week by the Federal Agency for Research, Census data, Insights and Calibration (FARCICAL) has raised some eyebrows amongst the professional research institutions, with concerns that the findings are particular to only a subset of the Australian population and represent a disproportionate number of highly creative and digitally-engaged Australians.
A spokesperson for FARCICAL responded this morning from an inner-city café in South Melbourne, stating that these concerns are, “…totally fair and reasonable. The results are extremely one-eyed and the census we ran was totally ad-hoc. We even had to learn how to do sums in Excel in order to extract the data. It was tricky.”
